COVENTRY, RI — Kent County and Coventry arrests in the RI Trooper Log  May 10 –18  involved charges for DUI, illegal drugs, and marijuana possession.

Here are the basics on those RI State Police Warwick arrests:

Marijuana possession On Friday, May 10, 2024 at 3:41 PM, Troopers arrested Jessica L. Vong, 27, of 29 Wood Cove Drive, Coventry, Rhode Island, for 1) Possession of Marijuana > 2 Ounces.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Weaver Hill Road in the Town of West Greenwich. Vong was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released.

WW Warrant On May 12, at 11 p.m., troopers arrested Quincy Dejesus, 27, of 19 Hendricks Street, Apartment #3, Central Falls, Rhode Island, for an active Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Driving with an Expired License originating out of the West Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Union Avenue in the City of Providence. Dejesus was processed at State Police Headquarters, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released a future Third Division District Court arraignment date.

Illegal drugs On Sunday, May 12, 2024 at 11:06 p.m., troopers arrested Madison Kelley, 26, of 62 Roberts Street, West Warwick, Rhode Island for Possession of a Schedule I-V Controlled Substance.

DUI, WW Stop On Saturday, May 18, 2024 at 11:58 p.m., troopers arrested Richard Vongkhamdy, 59, of 31 Lydia Road, Coventry, RI for 1) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – 1st Offense / BAC Unknown 2) Refusal to submit to a chemical test.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the Town of West Warwick. Vongkhamdy was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released into the custody of a responsible adult, pending a future third district court date.
