RI Trooper Log: Cocaine Possession, Court Scofflaws

Lincoln Barracks: Domestic assault suspect arrested for missing court 

Troopers arrested John Delacruz, 25, of 28 Calla St., Providence, on Sept. 23 12:35 a.m., charging him with:  1) Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on an original charge of Domestic Simple Assault from the Providence Police Department. 2) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on the original charge of Driving with a suspended license from the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Gallatin Street, Providence. Delacruz was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed before being taken to the Adult Correctional Institution.

Hope Valley Barracks: Traffic stop leads to cocaine arrest

On Tuesday, Sept. 23 at 1:50 p.m., troopers arrested Jayson Darosa, 34, of 742 Oakland Beach Ave., Warwick, RI, charging him with: 1) Possession of a Controlled Substance – Schedule II (Cocaine), 2) Driving in Possession of a Controlled Substance 3) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear/Ability to Pay on the original charge of Driving on a Suspended License out of the Warwick Police Department, 4) Operating on a Suspended License.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in West Greenwich. Darosa was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment.

Wickford Barracks: Traffic stop turns up court scofflaw

On Tuesday, Sept. 23 at 9:30 a.m., a trooper arrested Robert Zech, 46, of 258 Asylum Road, Warwick, charging him with: 1) Family Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Non Support 2) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 4 in the Town of East Greenwich. Zech was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed and turned over to Third District Court.
