Editor’s note: The following Warwick, RI area arrests recorded in the RI Trooper Log were reported by the RI State Police on their website. An arrest reflects charges against an individual, and does not indicate guilt or innocence.

WARWICK, RI —  Arrests in the RI Trooper Log this week  in, nearby and involving Warwick included a court scofflaw, and people wanted on warrants for assault, obtaining money under false pretenses, failing to report earnings and reckless driving.

Traffic stop yields arrest on assault charge On Monday, Jan. 8, 2018 at 2:40 p.m., troopers arrested Cindy Flores, 23, of 44 Bucklin St., Pawtucket, Rhode Island on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Simple Assault originating from the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Charles Street in Providence. Flores was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where she was processed and later turned over to the Warwick Police Department.

Traffic stop ends in arrest on Family Court warrant At 3:15 p.m. Jan. 10 troopers arrested James Aponte, 54, of 180 Village Road, Apt. #1, Woonsocket, RI, for a Family Court Reciprocal Body Attachment. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 295 North in Warwick.

The subject was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks, processed, and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution, Men’s Intake Center.

Troopers arrest man wanted for obtaining money falsely At 7:30 p.m. Jan. 10 troopers arrested William Beattie, 63, of 132 Edaville Ct., Warwick, RI, for: 1.) Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses under $1,500; 2.) Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing on a Technical Violation on the original charge of Violation of a No Contact Order originating from the Warwick Police Department; and 3.) Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses over $1,500 originating from the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a barracks investigation and subsequent residence check. The suspect was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks, processed, and held overnight pending morning arraignment, to be presented as a Superior Court Probation Violator.

Court scofflaw arrested at traffic stop At 1:45 a.m. Jan. 12, troopers arrested Margaret Bates, 43, of 109 Bridgham St., Providence, RI for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for failure to appear for pre-trial conference on the original charge of shoplifting originating out of the Warwick Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Westminster Street in the City of Providence. Subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution.

Traffic stop ends in man’s arrest for suspended license warrant At 10 a.m. Jan.12, troopers arrested Tommy Flores, 24, of 55 West Ave. Pawtucket, Rhode Island for a Third District Court Bench Warrant on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating out of the Warwick Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Centerville Road in the City of Warwick.

Coventry man arrested for failing to report earnings, reckless driving warrant At 2:20 p.m. Jan 12, troopers arrested Jeffrey Rossi, 51, of 255 Pulaski St., Apartment 2, Coventry, RI for 1.) Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Failure to Report Earnings > $500 and 2.) Superior Court Bench Warrant for 32F Technical Violation on the original charge of Reckless Driving originating out of the West Warwick Police Department. The arrest was result of a motor vehicle stop on Providence Street in the City of West Warwick.
