RI Trooper Log Arrests: Warwick Man Picked Up on Multiple Warrants

Editor’s note: The following Warwick, RI area arrests recorded in the RI Trooper Log were reported by the RI State Police on their website. An arrest reflects charges against an individual, and does not indicate guilt or innocence.

WARWICK, RI — State Police reports in the RI Trooper Log in Warwick between July 25 and Aug. 1 included several arrests, including a Warwick man arrested on multiple warrants and a North Carolina man picked up on a warrant issued by the U.S. Marshals Service.

Warwick man arrested on multiple warrants: On July 31, 2019, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Charles Palardy, 40, of 67 Leaf Street, Warwick, Rhode Island, for the following:

  • Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing on an original charge of Felony Domestic Assault;
  • Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear/Sentence Violation on an original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance;
  • Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear/Sentence Violation on an original charge of Larceny over $1,500;
  • Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing on an original charge of Breaking and Entering;
  • Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing on an original charge of Larceny over $1,500;
  • Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing on an original charge of Forgery and Counterfeiting; and
  • Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing on an original charge of Larceny over $1,500.

Palardy was processed and turned over to officials at Third Division District Court. He was later ordered held without bail at the Adult Correctional Institutions, Cranston.

N.C. Man caught in Warwick on U.S. Marshals warrant: On July 29, troopers arrested Carlie Oxendine, 43, of 1250 Briggs Road, Rowland, N.C., on a Fugitive from Justice Warrant issued by the U.S. Marshals Service on the original charge of Probation Violation-Possession of Cocaine. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 North in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing, arraigned, and was later transported to the ACI Intake Center.

Parole violation arrest: On July 28, troopers arrested Angel Pascual, 23, of 2020 Elmwood Ave., Warwick for a Parole Board Detention Warrant originating out of State Police Headquarters on the original charge of Felony Assault. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Nooseneck Hill Road in Exeter. Pascual was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks for processing and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake.

Failure to appear warrant: On July 25, troopers arrested Derek Leblanc, 29, of 259 Buttonwood Avenue, Warwick on a Kent County Superior Court warrant for Failure to Appear for Restitution Review on the original charge of shoplifting, originating out of the Warwick Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Plainfield Street in Providence. Leblanc was transported to State Police Headquarters, processed, and later turned over to Superior Court.
