RI Trooper Log: Arrests for Hearings Missed, Domestic Violence, Unregistered Sex Offender

WARWICK, RI —  Arrests in the RI Trooper Log this week  in, nearby and involving Warwick included court scofflaws, an unregistered sex offender and a man wanted for domestic disorderly and domestic damage charges.

Traffic stop nabs court scofflaw At 2:15 a.m. Dec. 27, troopers arrested Allen Harrington, 24, of 13 Shippee Ave., West Warwick, RI for a Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant, for Failure to Appear for Restitution Review, on the original charge of Felony Assault, originating out of the West Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Centerville Road, in the City of Warwick.

Troopers arrest Warwick man for failing to register as a sex offender On Wednesday, Dec. 27, at 10:17 a.m., troopers arrested Andrew C. Candales, 46, of LKA 31 Troy Ave., Apt. A, Warwick, Rhode Island on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant from the South Kingstown Police Department for Sex Offender Registration Violation.

The arrest was the result of the Capitol Police contacting the Lincoln Woods Barracks advising they had the subject in custody at Third District Court in the City of Warwick.

Candales was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed and later turned over to the South Kingstown Police Department.

Traffic stop catches man wanted for missing court On Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017 at 8:38 p.m., troopers arrested Carlos Medina, 25, of 289 Oxford St., 2nd Floor, Providence, Rhode Island on a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating out of the Cranston Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the City of Warwick. Medina was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Center.

Troopers arrest man wanted on domestic violence charges On Dec. 27, 2017 at 1:12 p.m., troopers arrested Albert Denton, 38 of 1097 Pontiac Ave., Cranston, Rhode Island for 1.) An Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Simple Assault originating from the Coventry Police Department 2.) An Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Simple Assault originating from the Coventry Police Department and 3.) Active Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Trial on the original charge of Domestic Violence – Simple Assault originating from the Coventry Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95, in the City of Warwick.

Denton was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and turned over to the Coventry Police Department.

Troopers catch man wanted for domestic damage, disorderly conduct On Dec. 27, 2017 at 2:08 p.m., troopers arrested Oliver Holmes, 38, of 28 James St. East Providence, Rhode Island for an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant on the charges of 1.) Domestic Malicious Damage to Property and 2.) Domestic Disorderly originating out of the Coventry Police Department.

This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Division Street in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and turned over to the Coventry Police Department.
