Warwick, RI – Rhode Island State Police made several Warwick-related arrests this week, including a local man wanted on multiple warrants apprehended in Johnston, a man wanted in Warwick for trespassing and a man charged for DUI on Rte. 95.

Troopers arrest Warwick man on multiple warrants in Johnston On June 30, at 10:20 a.m., troopers arrested Steven Harvey, 53, of 283 Milton Road Warwick, RI for 1) Obstructing an Officer While in Execution of Duty, 2) Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing Violation on the original charge of Unlawful Appropriation over $1,000 originating out of the Warren Police Department, 3) Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing Violation on the original charge of Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses over $1,500 originating out of the Providence Police Department, 4) Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing Violation on the original charge of Unlawful Appropriation over $1,000 originating out of the Johnston Police Department, and 5) Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing Violation on the original charge of Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses over $1,500 originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 6 in the Town of Johnston. Harvey was transported to State Police Headquarters, processed, and later transported to Third District Court for arraignment to appear as a probation violator.

Troopers arrest Providence man for trespassing in Warwick At 11:16 a.m., July 1, troopers arrested Peter Hazard, 42, of 11 Broad St., Providence, RI for a Third Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the charge of Willful Trespass originating from the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of checking a road walker. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and later turned over to Third Division District Court.

Driver arrested for DUI on Rte. 95 At 11:37 p.m. July 1, troopers arrested Nahun Aceituno, 33, of 620 Devils Foot Road Apt. 19, North Kingstown, RI for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor/Drugs- Second Offense/ B.A.C .10-.15 (Phase I .124, Phase II .128).

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Scituate Barracks where he was processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment.
