Editor’s note: The following Warwick, RI area arrests recorded in the RI Trooper Log were reported by the RIState Police on their website. An arrest reflects charges against an individual, and does not indicate guilt or innocence.

WARWICK— State Police reports in the RI Trooper Log between June 22 and June 27 involved charges for DUI, hit and run, domestic assault, controlled substance possession, most stemming from traffic stops throughout the state.

Here are the available details of those arrests:

Domestic violence arrest At 1:02 a.m. June 24, troopers arrested Jesse Ellinwood, 39, of 15 Harvard Ave., Warwick, RI, for a Superior Court Full Bench Warrant on the original charge of Domestic Violence – Criminal V originating out of the Lincoln Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Elmwood Ave in the City of Providence. Ellinwood was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’s Intake Center.

Controlled substance arrest At 1:15 a.m. June 24, troopers arrested Brittany Ferreira, 34, of 1100 Phoenix Ave., Cranston, Rhode Island for two (2) counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule I-V.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Bald Hill Road in Warwick. Ferreira was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where she was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, then released.

Callers Alert Troopers to Hit & Run, DUI At 4:39 p.m. June 24, troopers arrested Kirk M. Welby, 44, of 16 Fir Road, Westford, MA for: 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – First Offense / B.A.C. Unknown; 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test; and 3.) Duty to Stop Accident Resulting in Damage to Attended Vehicle.

The arrest was the result of calls to the barracks in reference to an erratic operator and subsequent motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in Warwick.

Suspended license warrant At 11:40 p.m. June 25, troopers arrested Edward Moquete, 43, of 110 Indiana Ave., Providence, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit Arrest Warrant for Operating on a Suspended License originating from the Pawtucket Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Jefferson Boulevard in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing and turned over to the Pawtucket Police Department.

DUI, Xanax, Oxycodone, Clonazepan At 8:40 p.m. June 27, troopers arrested Devin Ottilige, 39, of 66 Third St. Apt.#2 Newport, for 1.) Three counts of Possession of Controlled Substance Schedule I-V (Xanax, Oxycodone, Clonazepan), 2.)

Driving Under the Influence of Liquor and or Drugs 1st Offense B.A.C. Unknown, and 3.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 South in the city of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Scott, and released to a responsible adult.

Domestic assault warrant At 6:11 p.m. June 27, troopers arrested Sheena Chibante, 35, of 135 North Hull, East Providence, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit Arrest Warrant for Domestic Assault by Strangulation and Domestic Simple Assault originating from the East Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Jefferson Boulevard in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing and later turned over to the East Providence Police Department.
