WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests in and near Warwick from Nov. 4 through Nov. 10 included charges for DUI, assault, disorderly conduct, restraining order violation and a missed court hearing on a breaking and entering charge.
Here are the available details of those arrests:
DUI stop on Rte. 95 At 2:10 a.m. Nov. 6, troopers arrested Joseph Taylor, 22, of 1070 Great Road, Lincoln, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs-First Offense, blood alcohol content (BAC) 0.10%-0.15%.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 North in Warwick. Taylor was transported to the Wickford Barracks, where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released to the custody of a responsible adult.
Wanted for assault, Jefferson Blvd. Arrest At 6:47 a.m. Nov. 6, troopers arrested Justin Evans, 30, of 54 Byron Boulevard, Warwick, Rhode Island on 1) Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear For Technical Violation on the original charge of Assault with Intent of Specified Felonies out of the Warwick Police Department and 2) Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Technical Violation on the original charge of Shoplifting originating out of the Warwick Police Department.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Jefferson Boulevard in the City of Warwick. Evans was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed and turned over to Kent County Superior Court.
Johnston warrant for disorderly conduct At 11:15 p.m. Nov. 6, troopers arrested Nathan Daigle, 20, on an Affidavit Arrest Warrant for Disorderly Conduct originating from the Johnston Police Department.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Toll Gate Road in Warwick. Daigle was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing and later turned over to the Johnston Police Department.
Restraining order violation warrant At 2:14 p.m. Nov. 8, troopers arrested Andrew Gianaitt, 27, of 278 Grove Ave., Warwick, Rhode Island on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant out of the Providence Police Department on the original charge of Violation of a Restraining Order.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 South in the City of Warwick. Gianaitt was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and turned over to the Providence Police Department.
Missed hearing on B&E charge At 8:10 a.m. Nov. 9, troopers arrested Craig Lagerstrom, 34, of 11 Tiogue Ave., Coventry, Rhode Island for 1.) Kent Country Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Restitution Payment on the original charge of Breaking and Entering, originating from the West Warwick Police Department, and 2.) Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Restitution, on the original charge of Larceny over $1,500, originating from the Scituate Police Department. The arrest was the result of a follow up investigation. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institute – Men’s Intake.
Violation of protective order At 2:07 p.m. Nov.9 , troopers arrested Julie Viera, 45 of 44 May St., Bridgeport, Connecticut for Violation of a Protection Order. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 North, in the City of Warwick.
Viera was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, arraigned by Justice of the Peace and issued a Third District Court re-arraignment date.
