WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests in and near Warwick from Jan. 2 through Jan. 30  included charges of domestic assault, Hit & Run, missed court appearances, and DUI.

Here are the available details of those arrests:

Domestic Assault Warrant, Post Road At 1:39 a.m. Jan. 28, troopers arrested Nicholas J. Dandrea, 25, of 4 Barnes St., Apt. 8, West Warwick, RI on an Affidavit Arrest Warrant for Domestic Simple Assault and Domestic Disorderly Conduct originating out of the Coventry Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Post Road in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed and turned over to members of the Coventry Police Department.

Hit & Run, Rte. 6, Johnston On Jan. 27 at 8:37 a.m., troopers arrested David Mack, 43, of 124 Hiawatha St., Warwick, RI for: 1) Duty to Stop Damage Resulting to Attended Vehicle.

The arrest was the result of Troopers responding to a hit and run motor vehicle accident on Rte. 6 in the Town of Johnston. Mack was taken into custody by Scituate Police Department for the accompanying charge of Eluding and later arraigned at Third District Court.

Missed court, B&E charge At 9:03 a.m. Jan. 28, troopers arrested David Fortier, 39, of 100 Transit St., Warwick, RI., on a Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Technical Violation (32F) on the original charge of Unlawful Breaking and Entering originating from the Cranston Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Cranston Street, in the City of Cranston. Subject was returned to the Lincoln Woods Barracks and processed before being transported to Providence Superior Court.

Missed court, suspended license charges At 12:26 a.m. Jan. 30, troopers arrested Ibraheem Al Tekreeti, 22, of 756 East Ave., Warwick, Rhode Island, for: 1.) Third Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Driving With a Suspended License originating from the Warwick Police Department; and 2.) Third Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating from the Glocester Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on East Avenue in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’s Intake Center.

Shoplifting warrant On Jan. 30, 2020 at 12:45 a.m., troopers arrested, Chavez Champagne, 38, of 2020 Elmwood Ave., Warwick, RI for 1) Affidavit Arrest Warrant for Shoplifting originating out of the Pawtucket Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Hartford Avenue in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to State Police Headquarters processed and turned over to the Pawtucket Police Department.

DUI, Rte. 95 Providence At 8:22 p.m. Jan. 30, troopers arrested Jeremias Rego, age 42, of 1 McTeers Court, Floor #2, West Warwick, Rhode Island for Driving Under the Influence of Liquor and/or Drugs – First Offense – B.A.C. .15 or Greater.

The arrest was the result of Troopers responding to E-911 call for an erratic operator traveling on Route 195 in the City of East Providence. Subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, arraigned before a Justice of the Peace and released to a responsible adult.
