Warwick, RI – Recent Rhode Island State Police activity in and nearby Warwick involved arrests for simple assault and missing court on a charge of obtaining money under false pretenses.

Traffic stop in Providence nabs woman wanted for assault At 1:50 p.m. Dec. 2, troopers arrested Ashley Garcia, 25, of 339 Chestnut St., Warwick, RI for an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Simple Assault and Disorderly Conduct originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Park Street in Providence. Garcia was transported to the Warwick Police Department.

 

Woman arrested for failing to appear on Obtaining Money Falsely Charge On Wednesday Nov. 30, 2016 at 12:57 a.m., troopers arrested Gina Bernardo, age 31, of 34 Grace Avenue, Warwick, Rhode Island on a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Trial on the original charge Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 37 in Warwick. Bernardo was transported to the Wickford Barracks where she was processed and later turned over to the Women’s Adult Correctional Institution.
