Warwick, RI – State Police activity in and involving Warwick this week involved stops and calls resulting in the arrest of individuals on domestic assault, passing counterfeit bills, and missing court.

Providence man arrested for missing no contact violation hearing At 3:03 p.m., May 30 troopers arrested Niran Morales, 21, of 90 Veazie St. Apartment #1, Providence, RI for a 1) Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for the Ability to Pay in the original charge of Violation of a No Contact Order – 3rd Offense originating out of the Warwick Police Department and an 2) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Domestic Strangulation, Domestic Simple Assault – 3rd Offense, Domestic Vandalism, and Domestic Disorderly Conduct out of the Pawtucket Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Academy Avenue in the City of Providence. Morales was transported to State Police Headquarters where he was processed and later turned over to the Pawtucket Police Department.

Troopers arrest fugitive on MA domestic assault charge On May 31, members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force, Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section and Massachusetts State Police Bristol County Detective Unit arrested Roger Gaudreau, 42, of 26 Hazael St. 1L, Providence, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Fugitive from Justice from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts on a default arrest warrant for Felony Domestic Assault of a Family Member; 2) Providence Police Department Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Felony Domestic Assault; and 3) Third Division District Court Capias for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on an original charge of Misdemeanor Shoplifting by the Warwick Police Department. Mr. Gaudreau was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and arraigned before the Sixth Division District Court.

Troopers arrest West Warwick man on counterfeit warrant At 1:45 a.m. June 1, troopers arrested Jason Mather, 37, of 31 Stevens Drive, West Warwick, Rhode Island, for a Superior Court Full Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Restitution Review on the charge of Passing Counterfeit Bill or Note, originating out of the Warwick Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 North in the City of Warwick. Subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution- Men’s Intake Center.

Troopers arrest disorderly conduct hearing scofflaw At 1:45 a.m. June 1, Troopers arrested Daniel Casperson, age 60, of 68 Autumn Street, Cranston, Rhode Island, for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Payment Review on the charge of Domestic Disorderly Conduct, originating out of the West Warwick Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 North in the City of Warwick. Casperson was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution- Men’s Intake Center.

Man walking Rte. 95 wanted, arrested for assault On Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 8:03 AM, Troopers arrested Ulises Melendez, age 47, of 9 Baldwin Court, Providence, Rhode Island, on a Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on the original charge of Simple Assault / Domestic originating out of the Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the result of Troopers checking on a road walker on Route 95 in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and turned over to Sixth District Court.
