RI Trooper Log: 5 Warwick Arrests For Assault, Shoplifting

WARWICK, RI — Warwick arrests in the RI Trooper Log  Aug. 23 – Sept. 2  involved charges for assault, a protection order violation, shoplifting and missed court hearings.

Here are the basics on those RI State Police Warwick arrests:

Domestic violence On Aug. 23, members of the RI Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Kayvan Castellanos, 30, of 391 George Arden Way, Warwick, Rhode Island, on the following: 1) Newport County Bench Warrant for Domestic Violence; and 2) Newport County Bench Warrant for Unlawful Breaking and Entering both out of the Portsmouth Police Department. Mr. Castellanos was taken into custody without incident, processed and directly turned over to officials at Newport County Court.

Rte. 95 stop, protection order violation At 9:56 p.m. Aug. 26, troopers arrested Benice Aguocha, 22, of 629 Fruit Hill Ave., North Providence, Rhode Island for 1.) Violation of Protection Order – 1st Offense.

The arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. Aguocha was transported to the Wickford Barracks where she was processed and held overnight at the State Police Scituate Barracks pending morning arraignment as a Bail Violator.

Centerville Road stop, assault warrant At 10:20 p.m. Aug. 29, troopers arrested Richard Adorno, 43, of 138 Whitemarsh Street, Apt. #1L, Providence, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Domestic Violence – Simple Assault, originating out of the Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Centerville Road in the City of Warwick. Adorno was processed at the Hope Valley Barracks and later turned over to the Providence Police Department.

Wanted in Warwick for shoplifting On Saturday, Aug. 31, at 3:11 p.m., troopers arrested Jonathan M. O’Connell, 34, of 36 Home St., West Warwick Rhode Island for:

  1. Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Shoplifting >$100 – Second Offense, originating out of the Warwick Police Department,
  2. Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Driving With Expired License, originating out of the State Police Hope Valley Barracks,
  3.  Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the Original Charge of Driving with Suspended License originating out of the State Police Lincoln Wood Barracks,
  4.  Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Restitution Review on the original charge of Larceny originating out of the North Smithfield Police Department,
  5. Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for a Pretrial Conference on the original charge of Driving With Suspended License, originating out of the State Police Wickford Barracks,
  6.  Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pretrial Conference on the original charge of Driving with Suspended originating out of the State Police Hope Valley Barracks.

The arrest, one of several Warwick arrests, was the result of a barracks investigation and Troopers locating the subject on Brookside Avenue in the City of West Warwick. O’Connell was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed, and later turned over to the Warwick Police Department.

September Warwick arrests

Traffic stop, missed court on suspended license On Monday, Sept. 2, at 10:12 a.m., troopers arrested Rafael Calderon, 44, of Cornplanter Row, Providence, Rhode Island, on a Third Division District bench warrant for failure to appear for Pre-trial Conference on the charge of Driving with a Suspended/Revoked/Cancelled License originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The last of this week’s RI Trooper Log Warwick arrests was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Elmwood Avenue, in Providence. Calderon was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, and then turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Intake Center.
