The Rhode Island State Police are stationed in several barracks throughout RI. Each week Troopers make multiple RI arrests, including Coventry arrests, recorded in the RI Trooper Log.

COVENTRY, RI — Coventry arrests and other Kent County arrests in the RI Trooper Log  Feb. 28 – March 9 involved charges for possessing marijuana with intent to deliver,  robbery, assault and violating a protection order.

Possession to deliver marijuana On Feb. 28, 2025, members of the HIDTA Task Force arrested Richard Caron, 55, of 67 Garnet St., West Warwick, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession With the Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance –Cocaine; and 2) Possession With the Intent to Deliver a Schedule I/II Controlled Substance – Marijuana. Caron was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and arraigned in Third Division District.

Wanted in CT for robbery On Friday, March 7, 2025 at 1:24 PM, Troopers arrested Gustavo Fernandes Da Silva, age 21, of 5 Avalon Avenue, Quincy, Massachusetts for 1.) Fugitive from Justice on the original charge of First Degree Robbery – Deadly Weapon out of the New Britain Police Department, Connecticut. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the Town of West Greenwich. Mr. Da Silva was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake.

Violating Protection Order On Sunday, March 9, at 2:10 p.m., troopers arrested Kyla Ramirez, 24, of 44 Calder Street, Providence, Rhode Island for 1.) Violation of a Protection Order – First Offense. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Quaker Lane in the Town of West Warwick. The subject was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, where she was processed, arraigned/presented as a bail violator by the Justice of the Peace and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution – Women’s Intake Center pending arraignment at Third Division District Court.

Felony Domestic Assault On March 5,  members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Travone Green, 30, of 27 Centre St., West Warwick, Rhode Island, on the following: 1) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant from West Warwick Police Department for Felony Domestic Assault; and 2.) Federal Probation Warrant on an original charge of Possession of a Firearm. Mr. Green was taken into custody without incident and turned directly over to West Warwick Police for transport to the West Warwick Police Department for arraignment.
