WARWICK, RI — Warwick arrests in the Warwick RI Trooper Log Jan. 18 – 24  involved charges including child porn possession and a no-contact order violation.

Child porn possession, transfer On Jan. 17, members of the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Donald Kates, 66, of 32 Second Point Road, Warwick, Rhode Island, for: 1) Possession of Child Pornography; and 2) Transfer of Child Pornography. Mr. Kates was processed at the Wickford Barracks and arraigned in Kent District Court before the Honorable Judge Goldman, who issued $5,000 surety bail with conditions of no unsupervised contact with minors and limited internet use.

No contact order violation On Friday January 24 at 10:40 p.m., troopers arrested Marcus Harris, 42, of 59 Mckinley St., Warwick, RI for an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant on the charge of Violation of a No Contact Order – 3RD Plus Offense  originating out of the Pawtucket Police Department.

This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Dean Street in the City of Providence. Harris was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and turned over to the Pawtucket Police Department.
