RI Trooper Arrests: Stolen Goods Received, DUI, Obtaining Money Falsely

WARWICK, RI — RI State Police arrests this week included charges for missing court hearings, warrants for receiving stolen goods, obtaining money under false pretenses, and DUI.

Court scofflaw arrested at traffic stop On Aug. 28, at 2:27 p.m., troopers arrested Rodney Keith, 24, of 80 Lawton St., Providence, Rhode Island, on a Providence Superior Court bench warrant for failure to appear for cost review on the charge of Manufacturing, Delivery, Possession of Schedule I-II out of the Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95, in Warwick. Keith was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and later turned over to the Sixth Division District Court.

Warwick man turns himself in on stolen goods warrant At 4:30 p.m. Aug. 30, Troopers arrested Derick Deluca, 25, of 45 Dundas Ave., Warwick, RI for 1.) State Police Hope Valley Affidavit-Arrest Warrant for Receiving Stolen Goods.

The arrest was the result of a barracks investigation and the subject turning himself in after a warrant was issued. The subject was processed and released after arraignment before a JP.

Traffic stop ends in man’s arrest on stolen goods warrant At 11:55 p.m. Aug. 30, troopers arrested Michael Gonzalez, 35, of 409 Danfort St., Apt. #11, Taunton, Massachusetts on a Superior Court Full Bench Warrant for Failure to appear for Technical Violation Hearing on the original charge of Receiving Stolen Goods – Greater Than $1,500.

This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Jefferson Boulevard, in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks where he was processed and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institute – Men’s Intake.

Missed hearing spurs traffic stop arrest At 1 a.m. Aug. 30, troopers arrested Angela Mackay, 44, of 15 Walker Ave, Lincoln, Rhode Island for a Superior Court Full Bench Warrant for failure to appear for Cost Review on the original charge of Driving Under the Influence of Liquor and or Drugs originating from the Lincoln Police Department.

This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95, in Warwick. Mackay was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks where she was processed and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institute – Women’s Intake.

Man arrested on obtaining money under false pretenses charge On Aug. 30, members of the Major Crimes Unit arrested Anthony Palazzo Sr., 57, of 1453 Warwick Ave., Apt. 54, Warwick, Rhode Island, on one (1) felony count of Obtaining Money by False Pretenses. Palazzo was processed at Headquarters and transported to Third Division District Court for arraignment, where he appeared before the Honorable Judge Mary E. McCaffrey.

No plea was entered and Mr. Palazzo was released on $10,000 personal recognizance.

Traffic stop ends in DUI arrest At 12:55AM, Sept. 1, Troopers arrested Jeffrey Leonard, 46, of 142 Wood St., Warwick, Rhode Island, for 1.) DUI 3rd Offense – B.A.C. Unknown, and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

The arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 South in the City of Warwick.
