RI Trooper Arrests: No Contact Order Violation, Warrants for Obstruction, Assault of Officer

Editor’s note: The following West Warwick arrests recorded in the RI Trooper Log were reported by the RI State Police on their website. An arrest is the result of the charges against an individual, and does not indicate that person’s guilt or innocence.

Warwick, R.I. – RI Trooper arrests in the Warwick area this week included arrests on warrants for obstructing an officer and shoplifting, and also for missing court dates on drug possession,obtaining money under false pretenses, and domestic assault charges.

Troopers arrest woman on court scofflaw warrant At 1:17 a.m. July 18, troopers arrested Sherry Liberty, 38, of 111 Garfield St. Apt. #1, Providence, RI for Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pre Arraignment Conference on the original charge of Possession of Controlled Substance Schedule I-V originating out of Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Jefferson Blvd. in the City of Warwick. Liberty was transported to State Police Wickford Barracks, processed and transported to the Adult Correctional Institution Female Intake Facility.

Rte. 95 stop ends in man’s arrest for missing court At 1:54 a.m., July 18, troopers arrested Antonio Vazquez, 22, of 31 Ringgold St., Providence, RI for Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Cost Review on the original charge of Possession of a Schedule I-V originating out of Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. Subject was transported to State Police Wickford Barracks, processed and transported to the Adult Correctional Institution.

Troopers arrest man wanted on four warrants after Rte. 95 stop At 2:08 p.m. July 20, troopers arrested Bill Mazzariello, 36, of 84 Briggs St., Cranston, RI for 1.) Providence Superior Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing on the original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance out of the Providence Police Department, 2.) Kent County Superior Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing on the Original charge of Felony Shoplifting originating out of the Cranston Police Department, 3.) Kent County Superior Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing on the original charge of Felony Shoplifting originating out of the Warwick Police Department, and 4.) Kent County Superior Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing on the original charge of Felony Assault/ Domestic originating out of the West Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Salem Street in the City of Providence, Rhode Island. Subject was processed and turned over to Providence Superior Court.

Troopers arrest 70-year-old man for violating no contact order On July 20, at 10:18 a.m., troopers arrested Terrence McKenna, 70, of 153 Norwich-Westerly Road, Warwick, RI for Violation of a No Contact Order – 3rd Offense. The arrest was the result of Troopers responding to Third District Court for reports of an individual in custody by Sheriffs. The subject was transported to State Police Wickford Barracks, processed, and transported to Third District Court for arraignment.

Troopers charge West Warwick Woman as fugitive On July 19, 2017, a member of the Major Crimes Unit charged inmate Nicole Perue, 27, having a last known address of 81 Harley Street, West Warwick, Rhode Island, as a Fugitive from Justice from the State of Massachusetts. Ms. Perue was arraigned in Third Division District Court, where she waived extradition proceedings. Ms. Perue was remanded to the Adult Correctional Institutions to await Massachusetts authorities.

Troopers arrest man wanted for missing court on obtaining money falsely charge At 4 p.m. July 21, troopers arrested Evan Harding, 22, of 194 Narrow Lane, Charlestown, RI, on a Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing on a Technical Violation on an Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses charge, originating out of the Cranston Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and transported to the Adult Correctional Institution.

Troopers arrest man wanted for missing court on domestic assault charge At 2:13 a.m. July 21, troopers arrested Brandon Hayes, 25, of 45 Fairfield Drive, North Kingstown, RI, on a Kent Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on a Domestic Violence- Simple Assault charge, originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Centerville Road in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and transported to the Adult Correctional Institution.

Troopers arrest man wanted in Warwick for obstruction warrant On July 20, 2017, members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Anderson Delpino, age 32, of 18 Winthrop Avenue, Providence, Rhode Island, on the following: 1) Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pre-Trial on the Felony charge of Domestic Assault with Machete; 2) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant from the Warwick Police Department for Obstruction; and 3) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant from the Pawtucket Police Department for Cyberstalking. Delpino was turned over to members of the Warwick Police Department.

Troopers arrest Central Falls man on warrant for assaulting WW officer At 1:57 am. July 21, troopers arrested Nelson Cano,44, of 86 Darling Street, Central Falls, Rhode Island, for a 1.) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Payment Review on the Original Charge of Driving with a Suspended License Originating out of the State Police Hope Valley Barracks and 2.) Kent County Superior Court Full Bench Warrant at AG’s Request- 32F on the original charge of Assault on a Police Officer with Injury originating out of the West Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 6 in the City of Providence. Cano was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution- Men’s Intake.
