Warwick, RI – State Police activity in and involving Warwick this week included arrests for crack possession, DUI, and failing to show up in court on previous charges.

Traffic stop ends with arrest for crack possession At 3:07 PM July 1, troopers arrested Brian Scott, 27, of 4 Kelsey Ct., West Haven, CT, for Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule I-V (Crack Cocaine).

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 south in Warwick. Scott was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace and released.

Troopers arrest Warwick man on Rte. 95 on DUI charge At 12:59 a.m. July 1, troopers arrested Samuel Stanford, 27, of 90 Landis Drive, Warwick, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – 1st Offense B.A.C Unknown, 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 South in the City of Warwick.

Stanford was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, arraigned, and released into the custody of a responsible adult.

Man arrested for DUI after two-car crash on Rte. 95 At 1:45 a.m. July 1, troopers arrested Walter Tol, 36, 1304 Charles Ave, Charlestown, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – 2nd Offense B.A.C Unknown, 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – 2nd Offense.

The arrest was the result of troopers responding to a two car crash on Route 95 North in the City of Warwick. Subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and held overnight pending morning arraignment.

Traffic yields arrest for missing court At 10:37 a.m. July 2, troopers arrested William Gilleau, 31 of 2030 Elmwood St., Apartment #6, Warwick, Rhode Island, on a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the charge of Driving with a Suspended/Revoked License originating out of the Johnston Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 South in the City of Warwick. Gilleau was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and transported to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Center.

Rte. 95 stop ends with DUI arrest At 11:45 p.m. July 2 troopers arrested Jason Phelps, 47, of 17 Longfellow Drive, Coventry, Rhode Island, for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – 1st Offense .10-.15 (Phase I .134, Phase II .129).

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in the City of Warwick. Subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace and released into the custody of a responsible adult.
