Peace & Providence Opens New Warwick Location

WARWICK, RI  — Non-profit Peace and Providence Inc. began in 2009 to help meet the needs of the people at or below the poverty level, or aged 50 and over who can’t afford food and or medicine, and they’re opening their new location at 2107 Warwick Ave.

“Peace and Providence Inc. Was started in 2009 with the simple knowledge and belief that “People Matter” and it’s because of this we strive  to meet the needs of the people in our community – whether it be the Elderly, Families, Individuals or  Veterans,” according to the organization’s website.

The mission of Peace and Providence is to be a ministry for the under resourced individuals within our community, state, and surrounding area, according to their Facebook page.

Services provided by the organization include a supplemental food program offering perishable and non-perishable food and hygiene items at the center’s General Store, addiction recovery, computer training, and, for elders, basic home repair, emergency home repairs and snow and leaf removal.

Programs and Services also include:

Free Haircuts at Revive

  • Kids Area
  • Veterans Program
  • Toys for Christmas

The non-profit held an open house Sunday afternoon.
