WARWICK, RI — On March 30 at 5:48 p.m., officer Nathaniel Gray spotted a man wanted by Warwick Police on multiple illegal firearms charges turn his white 2019 Chevy Express into the Fast Freddie’s lot, and arrested him.
Gray was pulling out of the lot at the time, watching as it traveled on Coronado Road from the direction of Post Road before pulling into the lot. Gray noted several registration stickers on its front license plate, a violation, and ran checks on the van, determining its owner to be Aaron Muniz, 35, of 208 Negansett Ave., Warwick, RI.
Muniz was wanted on seven counts of unlicensed carry of a pistol, and four counts large capacity feeding devices prohibited. Gray called in other officers, and Officers Zachary Coyne, Joseph P DiIorio and Officer Brown arrived to assist in the arrest.
Gray handcuffed and transported Muniz to Warwick Police Headquarters, 99 Veterans Memorial Drive, where he was charged with seven counts of unlicensed carry of a pistol, and four counts of large magazine capacity prohibited,
Muniz was arraigned on the charges April 1 and scheduled for a July 15 pre-arraignment conference in Third District Court. He was granted 45,000.00 (@10% $4,500.00( surety bond and ordered to surrender his firearms.
