need to know2Warwick, RI – The post-Thanksgiving week begins with a shot in the arm, assuming you’re the preventive maintenance type,  followed by a book fair, Santa at the Y and some dramatic opportunities for local teens.

Flu Shot Clinic today – VNA Care of New England is sponsoring a flu clinic today from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m. at the Central Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce, 3288 Post Road.

Pre-registration is recommended so nurses have enough shots. Bring your insurance card – Adults 19 and older are eligible for shots. A limited number of flu shots are available for the uninsured. Call 401-732-1100 for arrangements.

Insurance is required for pneumonia vaccine.

Book Fair – Greenwood Elementary PTA hosts a book fair Dec 04, 9 a.m. at Barnes & Noble Booksellers, 1350 Bald Hill Road. Call 401-826-8885.

Santa at the YMCA – Santa is going to be stopping by the Y this Thursday and Friday evening. He’ll be hanging out in the lobby and available for pictures from 4-7 p.m. both nights. Bring the whole family and get in those last minute Christmas requests before he heads back to the North Pole.

OSTeenCo Auditions – Ocean State Theatre Company Announces Auditions for OSTeenCo on Dec. 9.

OST’s new OSTeenCo program will provide an opportunity for teen actors to benefit from a professional theatre experience, culminating in the performance of two productions, which are part of OSTC’s 2014-15 Family Fun Fest.

This season’s OSTC4Kids productions are the musical Freckleface Strawberry scheduled for Saturday, March 7 and the comedy The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon scheduled for Saturday, May 23.
