Man Admits Stolen Gun Taken From Father

WARWICK, RI —  On Sept. 3 at 9:08 a.m., a Beach Avenue man told Warwick Police he’d stolen his father’s Glock 44 , trading the stolen gun for drugs.

Richard Allen Forcier, 51, of 405 Beach Ave., Warwick, RI, told Warwick police he”d stolen his father’s .44 Glock pistol, then gave the stolen gun to his dealer in exchange for drugs. Following the confession, Sgt. Sokphannareth Chea visited Forcier’s father, who confirmed he owned a Glock .44 pistol, which he had last seen after storing it in a case in his home.

Chea subsequently requested a warrant for Forcier’s arrest for felony larceny of of a firearm for the stolen gun.

At 5:10 p.m. Oct. 6, Officer Connor Bemis, on patrol in the area of Forcier’s home, and alerted to the warrant, found Forcier at his home and arrested him without incident.

He was charged with felony larceny of a firearm in Third District Court Nov. 21, where he pleaded no contest to the charges and was sentenced to four years in prison, suspended, with five years probation.
