Kent Patients Enjoy Spaulding Rehab Center Holiday Party

PAWTUCKET, RI — Kent Hospital recently hosted a Christmas party for pediatric patients of Spaulding’s rehab program in Pawtucket Dec.1, with the help of Toys for Tots and Spaulding staff.

Nearly 60 families showed up to craft, play games, and meet Santa. Thanks to Toys for Tots, every child brought home a toy. This is the second year Spaulding has organized the event for Kent Hospital patients. It’s run entirely by the staff at the rehab clinic. The events also included crafts and a therapy dog.

Kent Hospital, located at 455 Toll Gate Road, Warwick, RI, recognized in January 2023 as a baby-friendly care center, is a 359-bed, nonprofit, acute care community teaaching hospital serving about 300,000 residents in Warwick, West Warwick, East Greenwich, West Greenwich, Coventry and parts of North Kingstown, Exeter and Cranston. It was chartered in 1946 and joined Care New England in 1996, according to Wikipedia.
