Super Dog Adoption Day – More than 300 dogs and puppies will be at Balise Toyota June 7 from noon to 4 p.m. (Pre-Screened Applicants get in at 10 a.m.).

Attendees will get to know the dogs in a relaxed, family friendly setting.  All the dogs are on leash or in open fenced play areas so that you can see how great they are with other dogs and amongst people. This will allow the rescue organizations to see how a family interacts with a particular rescued dog and families can determine which dog fits in well with their lifestyle.

Visit the event’s website to learn more, and to view online adoption applications.

Totally Kids Family Fun Day – On Sunday, June 7, Totally Kids Day Care is hosting a Family Fun Day at  Goddard Park from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. near the clubhouse.

Proceeds from a raffle at the event will go towards a flagpole for the center in memory of Brianna Houle.

Avedisian Conducts at Warwick Symphony Orchestra –  Mayor Scott Avedisian will serve as a guest conductor for the encore of the Warwick Symphony Orchestra’s (WSO) concert on Sunday at the Goddard Park Carousel. The concert begins at 2 p.m. The park is located at 1095 Ives Road, in the Potowomut section of Warwick.

Avedisian is slated to conduct the Stars and Stripes at the concert, which is part of the WSO’s “The Golden Age of Broadway” Spring Pops Series.

Tickets are $10 for general admission and children under 12 are admitted free. Tickets are available online through Brown Paper Tickets.
