WARWICK, RI — A Warwick woman won an early birthday gift when she won $250,000 playing the “Ultimate Fortune” Instant Game scratch ticket.

The woman, who asked not to be identified, purchased her winning ticket from the 7-Eleven at 2078 West Shore Rd., Warwick. She said she plans to use her prize toward buying a single-family home in Rhode Island.

In other RI Lottery news, the $24,000 Wild Money jackpot from the Sept. 7, 2024, drawing, has been claimed by a man from Providence. He bought the winning Quick Pick ticket at New Way Liquors, 598 Elmwood Ave., Providence.  This win comes just days after the $355,623 Wild Money jackpot hit, which remains unclaimed.

Meanwhile, the estimated Mega Millions® Jackpot for Sept. 13 is: $20 million.

In August, a man from Warwick won $25,000 a Year for Life playing the Rhode Island Lottery’s Lucky for Life® game. He opted for the lump sum option of $390,000.

He purchased his winning Quick Pick ticket for the Aug. 24, drawing, at Cumberland Farms, 1291 Warwick Ave., Warwick. He said he loves the Lucky for Life® game and plans to put his winnings into savings.

In celebration of the Rhode Island Lottery’s 50th Anniversary, the Lottery is planning a “Birthday Bonanza” promotion. From September 1, 2024, to September 30, 2024, every Lucky for Life® ticket purchased could win $50 on the spot! To commemorate the Lottery’s beginnings in 1974, up to $74,000 in $50 prizes will be awarded at random throughout the promotion period.
