Warwick, RI – Mayor Scott Avedisian joined Dave and Marie Schaller for the grand re-opening of their candy store, The Chocolate Delicacy Tuesday afternoon.
The shop has moved from its East Greenwich location to Gilbane Street in Apponaug, just across from the intersection of Rte. 117 and Toll Gate Road. Work to remodel the site has been in progress since the spring.
The candy store offers a wide variety of chocolates and fudge that are made onsite, according to a release on Avedisian’s Facebook page. Store hours are Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more info, call 401-884-4949

I was driving down Rt. 117 on Wednesday when I was excited to see Chocolate Delicacy. I thought they were opening a satellite store in Warwick. Well, on my way back from an appointment on Post Rd. I popped in to check things out. I discovered that the owners – who were present – decided to leave their East Greenwich location and set up shop at this site. Fantastic for this dark chocolate lover since I live in West Warwick! Try my favorite: the dark chocolate covered raspberry cream
(which I brought home) and you’ll drop to your knees. The truffles –
unbelievable!
