WARWICK, RI — The Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) announced  nine of its student-athletes have been recognized for their outstanding academic achievements by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), earning spots on the prestigious NJCAA All-Academic Teams for the 2024–25 academic year.

The NJCAA All-Academic Awards celebrate student-athletes who excel in the classroom while balancing the demands of collegiate competition. Awards are categorized into three levels:

  • First Team: GPA of 4.00
  • Second Team: GPA of 3.80–3.99
  • Third Team: GPA of 3.60–3.79

“These awards are a testament to the talent, resilience, and determination of our student-athletes,” said CCRI President Rosemary A. Costigan, Ph.D., RN. “Balancing the rigors of academics and athletics is no easy feat, and we are incredibly proud of the nine students who have earned national recognition for doing just that.”
