COVENTRY, RI — Coventry area Kent County arrests in the RI Trooper Log  March 27 – April 10 involved charges for illegal pistol/revolvers carried, DUI, and illegal Adderall possession.

Here are the basics on those RI State Police Kent County arrests and Kent County arrests:

Kent County Arrests March 27 – April 10

Rte. 95 WG crash, DUI Charge On Wednesday, April 8, at 12:40 a.m., troopers arrested James Gowdy, 49, of 114 Pinehurst St., Warwick, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor – B.A.C Unknown – First Offense, 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – First Offense and 3) Reckless Driving – First Offense. The arrest was the result of Troopers responding to a wrong way motor vehicle collision on Route 95 South, in West Greenwich.

Gowdy was transported to the State Police – Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released with a notice to appear in Third District Court.

WG Stop, Illegal Pistol/Revolver Possession On Wednesday, April 9, at 10:22 p.m., Troopers arrested Darniel Polanco-Cortorreal, 22, of 204 River Ave., Providence, Rhode Island for 1.) License/Permit to Carry Concealed Pistol or Revolver and 2.) Large Capacity Feeding Devices Prohibited (six counts). The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Nooseneck Hill Road in the Town of West Greenwich.

Polanco-Cortorreal was transported to the State Police – Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and held pending arraignment, where he will be presented as a bail violator.

Illegal Adderall Possession On Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 1:18 a.m., Troopers arrested Andrew D. Hall, 32, of 71 Pine Hill Road, Richmond, Rhode Island for 1.) Possession of a Schedule I – V Controlled Substance – Under 10 Grams (Adderall). The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the Town of West Greenwich.

Hall was transported to the State Police – Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released with a future Third Division District Court arraignment date.

Rte. 95 WG Stop, Illegal Pistol/Revolver Possession At 10:22 p.m. April 10, troopers arrested Krystopher Amaral, 21, of 32 Danforth St., Warwick, Rhode Island for 1.) License/Permit to Carry Concealed Pistol or Revolver and 2.) Large Capacity Feeding Devices Prohibited.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in the Town of West Greenwich. Amaral was transported to the State Police – Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released with a future Third Division District Court arraignment date.

New London Turnpike Stop, Obstruction Charge At 8:12 a.m. April 10, troopers arrested Justin Silveira, 41, of 56 Read Ave., Coventry, Rhode Island for 1.) Obstruction. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on New London Turnpike in the Town of East Greenwich.

Silveira was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks, where he was processed and later turned over to Third District Court for arraignment.

Rte. 4 Stop, DUI Charge At 10:30 p.m. April 11, troopers arrested Ernest Martinelli, 70, of 599 Hatchery Road, North Kingstown, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor – BAC Unknown – First Offense, and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – First Offense.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 4, in the Town of East Greenwich. The subject was transported to the State Police – Wickford Barracks, where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released into the custody of a responsible adult with a future notice to appear in Third Division District Court.

Missed Hearing, Suspended License Charge At 10:08 p.m. April 12, troopers arrested Keagan Siegrist, 36, of 44 Harris Ave, West Warwick, Rhode Island for a Third Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pretrial Conference on the original charge of Driving with Suspended/Revoked/Cancelled License – 4th + Offense, originating out of the State Police – Wickford Barracks.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Eddy Street in the Town of West Warwick. The subject was transported to the State Police – Hope Valley Barracks, where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released after posting the necessary surety bail.
