CPD Charge Man With Felony Domestic Assault Feb. 13

COVENTRY, RI — Coventry Police were called to a Larch Drive home Feb. 13 for a reported domestic disturbance, finding a man with a large cut to his left hand, arresting the man’s roommate on a felony domestic assault charge.

Coventry officers found the attacker, who was later determined to be the cousin of the victim in the home, and arrested him, according to police.

Assault Suspect To Appear in Court April 20

Police identified the suspect as Hunter Howell, 20, of Larch Drive.

Howell was arraigned on charges of Domestic Felony Assault/Battery and Domestic Disorderly Conduct at Kent County District Court. He was scheduled for a court screening in Third Division District Court on April 20, and released on a $3,500 (@10%  $350.00) surety bond. The bond carries two conditions: 

  • A Domestic No Contact Order
  • Pretrial Services to Monitor for Mental Health
