WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests in and near Warwick from Dec. 8 through Dec. 13  included charges of reckless driving, B&E charge violations and drug possession.

Here are the available details of those arrests:

Reckless driving, Rte. 95 At 11:30 p.m. Dec. 10, troopers of the Traffic Safety Unit along with Troopers from the Lincoln and Wickford Barracks arrested Xiangyuan Peng, 28, of 94 Medway St, Apt. #3, Providence RI for Reckless Driving.

The arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks, processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace and released.

Fugitive on weapons charge On Dec. 10, members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Juan E. A Ovalles, age 25, of 141 Mayfair Road, Warwick, Rhode Island, on the following: 1) Fugitive from Justice Warrant from the State of New Jersey for Parole Violation on an original charge of Weapons Offense; and 2) Resisting Arrest. Ovalles was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and arraigned in Sixth Division District Court.

Failing to appear, violations on B&E charges At 1:07 a.m. Dec. 12, troopers arrested Patrick Fitzgerald, 42, of 79 Larochelle Ave., Warwick, RI for 1.) Active Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing on a Violation on the original charge of Breaking and Entering of a Dwelling out of the Newport Police Department, 2.) Active Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing on a Violation on the original charge of Breaking and Entering Other Buildings with Criminal Intent out of the South Kingstown Police Department, 3.) Active Superior Court Bench Warrant for Technical Violation on the original charge of Breaking and Entering Other Buildings with Criminal Intent out of the South Kingstown Police Department, 4.) Active Superior Court Bench Warrant for Technical Violation on the original charge of Breaking and Entering of a Dwelling out of the Newport Police Department and 5.) Active Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pre-Arraignment Conference on the original charge of Keeping or Maintaining a Common Nuisance out of the Pawtucket Police Department.

The subject was transported to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake.

Illegal drug possession On Dec. 12, members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Christopher M. Almy, 35, of 1811 Warwick Ave. – Apartment 11S, Warwick, on a Providence County Superior Court Warrant for AG Request for Manufacture/Delivery/Possession of a Schedule I-V Controlled Substance (examples of Schedule IV drugs are: Xanax, Soma, Darvon, Darvocet, Valium, Ativan, Talwin, Ambien, Tramadol.) originating from the Providence Police Department.

Almy was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and turned over to Providence County Superior Court officials.
