WPD: May 2024 Warwick Arrests

WARWICK, RI — WPD May 2024 Warwick arrests included charges for DUI, larceny, domestic violence, assault, stolen vehicle possession, illegal drugs, embezzlement, simple assault and felony assault.

Warwick Police made 187 arrests during this period, according to Warwick Police records. Below are the  basic details of specific arrests, followed by the numbers of arrests for each charge.

Assault of Officer/Domestic Violence On May 6, Officer Officer Nicholas P DeLuca arrested Michael J. Pontes, 34, of 726 Post Road, Warwick, RI, charging him with Assault of a Police Officer/Public Official and Domestic Violence, Simple Asssault, first offense. Pontes was arraigned in Third District Court May 5 and released on  $3,000.00 (@10%  $300.00) surety, with a domestic no-contact order.

Felony Assault On May 18 at 5:18 a.m., Officer Michael S Petrarca arrested David Allen Boulanger, 50, of 38 Ottawa St., Apt. 5, West Warwick, RI, charging him with:

  • Felony Assault and/or Battery
  • Shoplifting More Than $100, Second Offense
  • Three bench warrants from Third District Court

Boulanger was arraigned in Third District Court May 18 on the shoplifting and felony assault charges, scheduled for a screening for the shoplifting charge and a status conference on the felony assault, both on June 18 and released on surety $5,000.00 (@10%  $500.00) Any.

Shoplifting: 26

Simple assault: 3

Felony assault: 6

Domestic violence: 64

Possession of illegal drugs: 8
