WARWICK, RI — Gifts are destined for trees and Christmas Day 2025, and while you may be happily focused on the holiday, some things may still need attention – so what’s open Christmas, and what’s closed?

In case you missed it, this year’s  National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony was Thursday, Dec. 4.  You can watch the 2025 National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony online courtesy of ABC. Warwick hosted its Christmas Tree Lighting the same day, with photos posted to the Parks & Recreatiom Facebook page.

What’s Open Christmas? What’s Closed?

In Warwick, city hall and the school department are closed for the holiday, with schools also closed and through next week.

TF Green State Airport is operating, with arrival and departure schedules online.

Trash and recycling are delayed one day. Public transit company RIPTA is following holiday routes today. Check the RIPTA website for schedules.

Banks and U.S. Post Offices are also closed.
