Warwick Weekend Events Friday:
Quahog Week Final Friday Quahog Week highlights the many restaurants, markets, fishermen, and food-based businesses committed to growing Rhode Island’s local food economy, with special emphasis on wild harvest clams. Restaurants and markets across Rhode Island will celebrate this sustainable resource and its year-round availability by featuring a quahog dish on their menu. Three local spots are participating: Iggy’s RI has a stuffed quahog special. Iron Works will be featuring their Rhode Island Stuffies, made with Chourico, fresh herbs, Old Bay, and sourdough stuffing – yum! And Dave’s Fresh Marketplace offers fresh shellfish, local, fresh seafood, and prepared seafood dishes.
Goddard Park Farmer’s Market Every Friday through Columbus Day Weekend, RI Grown, DEM’s farmer’s market program, hosts farmer’s market at Goddard Park selling delicious and freshly-harvested local foods direct from the farm to your dinner table.
