WARWICK, RI — This week’s Warwick Weekend events include cold, skating, a free movie, free admission to the zoo, and a winter respite.
The Warwick Weekend events weather forecast calls for a high in the 30s Friday, then dropping from there to 18 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches is possible Saturday, then sunny skies on Sunday.

Warwick Weekend Events Friday:
Proclamation Ale Free Movie Friday Proclamation Ale Company shows “When Harry Met Sally” tonight. It’s Free movie night again with another first Friday at 8 p.m. at the Proclamation Taproom, 298 Kilvert St., Warwick, RI. During first Fridays, Proclamation shows a movie in the taproom with sound. Movies start at 8 p.m. until otherwise noted. Outside chairs permitted. Friday’s Food vendor: W’s Wood Fired Pizza.
Bring Your Own Improv, WCFA Bring Your Own Improv is back for family friendly live performances every Friday at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Tickets are $11.63. If you’re looking for something fun to do late on a Friday night in Warwick, they’ve got you covered. Their Caffeinated Insomniacs Comedy show – designed for teens and adults – is the place to be at 10 p.m. Their show welcomes voluntary audience participation. You can participate in one of three ways: applaud for a scene you like, yell out fantastic suggestions, or if you feel you’re ready, jump up and get involved.
Greenwood Credit Union City Hall Plaza skating Skating sessions at the new Greenwood Credit Union City Hall Plaza ice skating rink. The rink is open Wednesdays through Sundays, with times starting at 1:30 p.m. Fridays, 10 a.m. Saturdays, and 11 a.m. Sundays.

Botanical Greenhouse (Roger Williams Park) Escape the cold and gray of winter during a visit to the Roger Williams Park Botanical Center, open year-round, Tuesday-Sunday 10 a.m. -4 p.m. (last admission at 3:30 pm.) RWPBC is an oasis in the heart of Roger Williams Park. There are over 23,000 square feet of indoor display gardens. The year-round 70-degree temperatures in the greenhouses create a tropical ecosystem where you will find insects, birds, fish, and many other inhabitants all working together to create a balanced ecosystem.
