WARWICK, RI — Warwick Weekend events this week feature a duck race, farmers markets, a concert, dinos, and food trucks.

The Warwick Weekend events weather forecast promises a chance of showers Friday,  partly cloudy with a chance of showers Saturday and mostly sunny Sunday, the National Weather Service reports.

Here are some events and happenings to help you decide where you’re spending this Warwick weekend:

Warwick Weekend Events Friday: 

Farmers Market at Goddard Memorial State Park Support and enjoy local food and farmers! Join our weekly farmers market from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. and get to know the hardworking people who grow your veggies, fruit, flowers, and favorite foods! For the first few weeks, the market mostly offers bedding plants, hanging plants, cut flowers, meat, early vegetable crops, honey, and maple syrup. As traditional local summer crops become available, additional vendors will participate.

 Roger Williams Food Truck Fridays End your week at Food Truck Friday – an outdoor food truck festival at Carousel Village starting at 5 pm. Attendance is free, just pay for what you eat and drink from an ever changing rotation of more than 15 food trucks each week.

The Carousel campus has a lot of open space and rolling hills shaded by trees, the perfect spot to grab dinner from a food truck and listen to music and entertainment during the park’s Food Truck Fridays event. The outdoor food truck festival at Carousel Village starts at 5 pm. Attendance is free, just pay for what you eat and drink from an ever changing rotation of more than 15 food trucks each week.

Dinosaurs at Roger Williams Park Zoo  Return of the Dinosaurs runs May 16 – Aug. 10 at Roger Williams Park Zoo & Carousel Village Come face-to-face with nearly 60 life-size animatronic and interactive dinosaurs, including 25 NEW dinosaurs debuting this year! Brave the wilderness to uncover the secrets of the dinosaurs’ return! Witness towering predators, meet curious herbivores, and discover the untold stories of these ancient giants. Get hands-on with digging up ancient fossils, enjoy photos ops with dino eggs and more.

Are you ready to face the roar?

Bring Your Own Improv, WCFA Bring Your Own Improv is back for family friendly live performances every Friday at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Tickets are $11.63. If you’re looking for something fun to do late on a Friday night in Warwick, they’ve got you covered. Their Caffeinated Insomniacs Comedy show – designed for teens and adults – is the place to be at 10 p.m. Their show welcomes voluntary audience participation. You can participate in one of three ways: applaud for a scene you like, yell out fantastic suggestions, or if you feel you’re ready, jump up and get involved.

Thayer Arena Public Skate Through March, Friday and Sunday, Public Skate is open to skaters of all ages. Cost to Skate is $5 – Children 5 and under are free. Skate Rentals are available at Sandy Lane Sports across the street from the rink.

  • Fridays 3:15-5:15 p.m.
  • Sundays 12:50 – 2:30 p.m.

No Skate Dates: Fridays: 2/9 & 3/22 Sundays: 3/10

Children 12 years and younger must be accompanied and supervised by a guardian who is 18 years or older. Children ages 13-17 without an adult staying onsite must be paid for and signed in by an adult that can leave emergency contact information. Only persons wearing skates are permitted on the ice surface. Helmets are strongly recommended for all skaters.

Warwick Weekend Events Saturday:

Music on the Hill Concert Enjoy a performance of Beethoven and Bach by a Music on the Hill string, flute, and marimba ensemble at Warwick Public Library, 600 Sandy Ln, Warwick.  Music on the Hill is a nationally-recognized concert series that brings professional musicians from Rhode Island back home to share their passion for music with the communities they love. Hear Beethoven’s Serenade for flute, violin, and viola, Bach’s Cello Suite no. 3, Piazzolla’s Bordel 1900, and Dall’Abaco’s Sonata da camera with Anton Miller on violin, Rita Porfiris on viola, Elisa Kohanski on cello, John Pellegrino on bass, Anthony Trionfo on flute, and Peter Ferry on marimba.

This event is free and open to all.

Warwick Weekend Events Sunday:

Duck Race Feeling Lucky? Adopt a Ducky! Join St. Peter’s School on Sunday, June 1 from 10:30 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. for their third annual Duck Race. It’s a fun event for all ages, with games, food, and raffles throughout the day. Proceeds will directly benefit our school community and make this event a success.

  • Yellow Ducks (1 for $10, 4 for $35) Prizes: 1st- $500, 2nd- $250, 3rd- $100
  • Red Ducks (1 for $50) Prize: up to $2500

Warburton Arena Public Skate Through June 27, Fridays from 3 – 5 p.m., and Sundays 1 – 3:35 p.m., Public Skate is open to skaters of all ages. Cost to Skate is $5 – Children 5 and under are free. Skate Rentals are available at Sandy Lane Sports across the street from the rink.
