Warwick Arrests Dec. 2024: New Year’s DUI, Assaults

WARWICK, RI — WPD December 2024 Warwick arrests included charges for DUI, larceny, domestic violence, and simple assault, including a DUI and multiple assault counts New Year’s Eve.

Warwick Police made 172 arrests during this period, according to Warwick Police records. Below are the  basic details of specific Warwick arrests, followed by the numbers of arrests for each charge.

December 2024 Warwick Arrests Details

Carrying weapon under influence of liquor/drugs On Thursday, Dec. 5 at 4:38 p.m., Officer Conor Bemis arrested Brian Jackowitz, 51 of 88 Oniska St., Warwick, charging him with carrying a weapon while under the influence of liquor/or drugs. Jackowitz was arraigned in Third Division District Court Dec. 6 and scheduled for a Jan. 27 court screening. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance and ordered to submit to pretrial alcohol monitoring.

New Year’s Eve DUI On Dec. 31 at 8:53 p.m., Officer Jake Reddy arrested Amanda Brieger, 51, of 71 Mt. Hygeia Road, Foster, RI, charging her with DUI, first offense, blood alcohol content unknown. She was also cited for refusing a breath test of her blood alcohol content.  She was released on $1,000 personal recognizance and is scheduled to be arraigned on the charges in Third Division District Court  Feb. 11.

Mulitple assaults, New Years Eve On Dec. 31 at 9:43 p.m., Officer Jake Reddy arrested Justin Hightower, 43, of 2 Burr Ave., Barrington, RI, charging him with four counts of simple assault, and disorderly conduct. He is scheduled to be arraigned on the charges in Third Division District Court  on Feb. 11.
