COVENTRY, RI — Coventry arrests and other Kent County arrests in the RI Trooper Log   Aug. 21 -26 involved charges for DUI, protection order violation, and child molestation.

 

reckless driving, and carrying an unlicensed pistol.

Here are the basics on those RI State Police Kent County and Coventry arrests in the Coventry area:

Kent County, Coventry Arrests Aug. 21 –

DUI, WG Rte. 95 stop On Saturday, Aug. 23, at 10:54 p.m., troopers arrested Pierre J. Magloire, 35, of 68 Dover St., Bridgeport, Connecticut, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor – BAC Unknown – First Offense; and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – First Offense.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in  West Greenwich. The subject was transported to the State Police – Hope Valley Barracks, where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with a notice to appear in Third Division District Court.

Wanted, Protective Order Violation On Sunday, Aug. 25 at 3:10 p.m., Troopers arrested Brandon Mcpartland, 30, of 89 Whipperwill Hill Road, North Franklin, Connecticut, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant on the charge of Domestic Violation of Protective Order originating out of the Portsmouth Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on New London Turnpike, in Coventry. Mcpartland was transported to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and turned over to the Portsmouth Police Department.

DUI, WW Stop On Monday, Aug. 26, 2025 at 2:05 a.m., troopers arrested Ernesto Martinez, 31, of 210 Pleasant St. Whitman, MA, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor – BAC Unknown – First Offense; and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – First Offense.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 North, in the Town of West Warwick. Martinez was transported to the State Police – Hope Valley Barracks, where he was held overnight pending arraignment at Third Division District Court.

Child Molestation Charge On Aug. 26, members from the Scituate Barracks and the Special Victims Unit arrested Christian Santiago, 25, of 43 Summit Ave., West Warwick, for two (2) counts of Second-Degree Child Molestation.

Santiago was transported to State Police Headquarters, where he was processed. He was later transported to Third Division District Court.
