RISP: Kent County, Coventry Arrests: Forgery, Reckless Driving

COVENTRY, RI — Coventry arrests and other Kent County arrests in the RI Trooper Log   July 30 to Aug. 14 involved charges for DUI, reckless driving, and carrying an unlicensed pistol.

Here are the basics on those RI State Police Kent County and Coventry arrests in the Coventry area:

Kent County, Coventry Arrests Aug. 16 – 21

Unwanted at Casino, wanted on warrant On Saturday, Aug. 16, at 7:55 a.m., troopers arrested Debra Tereshka, 59, of 530 North Main St., Room 24, Providence, Rhode Island, for:

1.) Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the charge of Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance originating out of the West Warwick Police Department,

2.) Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the charge of Possession of a Schedule I Controlled substance originating out of the Providence Police Department and

3.) Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the charge of Shoplifting > 100 – Second Offense originating out of the Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the result of Troopers responding to the Twin River Casino for an unwanted party. Tereshka was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barrack and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Women’s Intake Center.

Fairview Ave. Stop, DUI charge At 10:30 p.m. Aug. 16, Troopers arrested Daniel Ackel, 27, of 51 Zaicek Road, Ashford, Connecticut for Driving Under the Influence of Liquor – BAC .10 – .15 – First Offense (Phase I: 0.134% & Phase II: 0.139%). This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Fairview Avenue in the Coventry.

Ackel was transported to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and later released pending future arraignment.

WG Stop, Suspended License At 10:43 a.m. Aug. 17, Troopers arrested Christopher Dumont, 43, of 1 Angelo Court, West Warwick for 1.) Driving After Denial/Revocation/Suspension of License – Certain Violations.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 South in the Town of West Greenwich. Mr. Dumont was transported to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with a future Third District Court date.

WG Stop, Forged Plates On Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2025, at 6:26 a.m., troopers arrested Christopher Harless, 33, of 25 Nahomon Street, Vineyard Haven, Massachusetts for Forgery and Counterfeiting of Registration Plates. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 North in the Town of West Greenwich. Harless was transported to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and later transported to Third District Court for morning arraignment.

Protection Order Violation On Tuesday, Aug. 19, at 9:12 a.m., troopers arrested Coby L. Drake, 19, of 21 Levalley Street, West Warwick, Rhode Island for 1.) Violation of Protection Order-1st Offense.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Providence Street in the Town of West Warwick. Mr. Drake was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, where he was processed and transported to Third Division District Court for arraignment.

Firearm Larceny, Conspiracy On Aug. 20, 2025, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Blaze Torres, 19, of 254 Rathbun St., Woonsocket, Rhode Island, on the following: 1) Affidavit/Arrest Warrant for an original charge of Larceny of Firearm; and 2) Conspiracy from the Coventry Police Department. Torres was taken into custody without incident and turned over to the Coventry Police Department.

EG Stop, Reckless Driving At 9:40 a.m. Aug. 21, troopers arrested Glen Whitehead Jr., 20, of 36 Stonegate Road, North Kingstown, Rhode Island, for 1.) Reckless Driving – 1st Offense.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 4 in the Town of East Greenwich. Mr. Whitehead was transported to the Rhode Island State Police – Wickford Barracks, where he was processed, and later transported to Third Division District Court.

NK Stop, DUI At 11:58 p.m. Aug. 21, troopers arrested Christopher Serevino, 35, of 25 Cantara St., West Warwick, Rhode Island, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor – .15 or greater – First Offense – (Phase I: 0.179% & Phase II: 0.170%).

The arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 403 in the Town of North Kingstown. Serevino was transported to the State Police – Wickford Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released into the custody of a responsible adult with a future Third Division District Court date.
