

COVENTRY, RI — Coventry arrests and other Kent County arrests in the RI Trooper Log July 30 to Aug. 14 involved charges for DUI, reckless driving, and carrying an unlicensed pistol.

Kent County, Coventry Arrests July 20 –
Vandalism charge On July 30, 2025, members of the Gaming Enforcement Unit and the Hope Valley Barracks arrested Dylan Burdick, 19, of 160 Weeks Hill Road, Coventry, Rhode Island, for one (1) count of Vandalism/Malicious Damage to Property. Mr. Burdick was processed at the Hope Valley Barracks and arraigned in Third District Court, where a no contest plea was entered and accepted by the Honorable Judge O’Neill, who issued a sentence of 1-year filing, restitution and a no-trespass order.
WG stop, DUI charge At 9:22 p.m. July 30, troopers arrested Richard Aubin, 80, of 15 Jupiter Lane, Richmond, Rhode Island for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor/ Drugs B.A.C. .10 to .15- 1st Offense (Phase I: .116, Phase II: .113).
The arrest took place as a result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in West Greenwich. Aubin was transported to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and later released pending future arraignment.
Unlicensed pistol charge On Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2025 at 8:21 p.m., troopers arrested Clarence Thompson Jr, 56, of 1412 Quiet Court, Portsmouth, VA, for License or Permit Required for Carrying Pistol. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in West Greenwich. Thompson was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and held overnight pending arraignment in Third Division District Court.
WW stop, DUI charge DUI, On Aug. 14, troopers arrested Liana Lopez, 25, of 40 Wakefield St, West Warwick, Rhode Island for 1) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor – B. A.C unknown – First Offense and 2) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – First offense.
The arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Wakefield Street in the Town of West Warwick. Lopez was transported to the State Police – Wickford Barracks where she was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released into the custody of a responsible adult with a future Third Division District Court date.
EG Stop, Reckless Driving charge On Aug. 14, troopers arrested Raven Machado, 27, of 289 Bradford Road, Westerly, Rhode Island for 1) Reckless Driving – First Offense.
The arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on South County Trail, East Greenwich. Machado was transported to the State Police – Wickford Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace. Machado was turned over to the Adult Correctional Institute – Men’s Intake Center pending morning arraignment at Third Division District Court where he will be presented as a Probation Violator.
