The following Warwick arrests were recorded by RI State Police between Jan. 1 – 9
Larceny warrant At 12:13 a.m. Jan. 3, troopers arrested Nicholas Apodiakos, 61, of 38 Ash St., Apt. A. Auburndale, MA, for an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant on the original charge of Larceny Under $1,500 originating out of the Lincoln Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on East Avenue in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the State Police – Wickford Barracks, where he was processed and turned over to the Lincoln Police Department.
No Contact Order Violation On Sunday, Jan. 4, 2026 at 11:15 a.m., troopers arrested Nikolas J. Pereira, 33, of 1006 Old Baptist Road, North Kingstown, Rhode Island for an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Domestic Violence- Criminal Violation of No Contact Order- 1st Offense originating out of the Hope Valley Barracks. The arrest was the result of a Barracks investigation and the Warwick Police Department taking Mr. Pereira into custody.
Pereira was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution where he will be held as a 46(g) Bail Violator.
Heroin possession On Monday, Jan. 5, 2026 at 9:08 p.m., troopers arrested Casey C. Gillooly, 39, of 58 Sheffield Ave., West Warwick, Rhode Island for Possession of a Schedule I – V Controlled Substance – 10 grams or less (Heroin).
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on New London Avenue in the City of Warwick. Gillooly was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, where she was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with a future Third Division District Court date.
Credit card fraud warrant At 2:47 p.m. Jan. 8, troopers arrested Cynthia Sun, 35, of 15414 Sandstone St., Baldwin Park, California, for 1.) an Active Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for the original charges of Obtaining Property by False Pretenses/Personation > 10,000 and Fraudulent Use of Credit Card originating out of the Cranston Police Department.
The arrest was the result of Troopers responding to a motor vehicle accident on Rte. 95 North in Warwick. Sun was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks, where she was processed and later turned over to the Cranston Police Department.
Family Court warrant At 11:32 p.m. Jan. 9, troopers arrested James Melia, 58, of 9 Ike St., Cumberland, Rhode Island, for a Family Court Bench Warrant for a Reciprocal Body Attachment for a Non-Criminal Charge.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 295 North, in Warwick. Melia was transported to the State Police – Wickford Barracks, where he was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institute – Men’s Intake.
