WARWICK, RI — Warwick arrests in the Warwick RI Trooper Log  Aug. 13 – 21  involved charges for kidnapping and DUI following traffic stops.

RI Trooper Log Warwick Arrests Aug. 13 – 21

Division Road, DUI charge At 10:35 p.m. Aug. 17, troopers arrested Mathew Mcgee, 35, of 1585 Main Steet, West Warwick, Rhode Island for, 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor – B.A.C Unknown – Third and Subsequent Offense, 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – First Offense, 3.) Duty to Stop in Accident Resulting in Damage to Vehicle, 4.) Driving with Suspended license – Fourth Offense.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Division Road in Warwick. Mcgee was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed and held overnight as a bail violator

Rte. 95 stop, DUI charge At 10:55 p.m. Aug. 19, troopers arrested Brenden Oates, 35, of 725 Branch Ave., Providence, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor – B.A.C Uknown – First Offense, 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – First Offense. The arrest was the result of motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the City of Warwick.

Oates was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by the Justice of The Peace and released with a notice to appear in Third Division Court.

Kidnapping On Aug. 21, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task arrested Anthony Welchman, 39, of 53 Tourtelott Ave., Warwick, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit/Arrest Warrant from the Warwick Police Department for original charges of: 1) Domestic Kidnapping; 2) Domestic B&E; and 3) Domestic Violation of No Contact Order.

Welchman was taken into custody without incident and turned over to the Warwick Police Department.
