

WARWICK, RI — Warwick arrests in the Warwick RI Trooper Log Sept. 20 – 26 involved charges for reckless driving, DUI, and felony assault.

Rte. 95 stop, DUI arrest At 8:19 p.m. Sept. 20, troopers arrested David Pereira, 63, of 23 Osceloa Ave., Narragansett, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving while Under the Influence – B.A.C. Unknown – First Offense, and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – First Offense.
The arrest was the result of Troopers responding to an erratic operator and subsequently locating the vehicle on Route 95 in the City of Warwick. Pereira was transported to the State Police -Wickford Barracks, where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released to a responsible adult with a future Third Division District Court date.
Wanted in Providence, Felony Assault At 11:49 p.m. Sept. 21, troopers arrested Hezekiah Mendoza, 40, of 25 Brookside Terrace, Allenstown, New Hampshire for an active Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Frye Hearing on the original charge of Felony Assault originating out of the Providence Police Department.
The arrest was a motor vehicle stop on East Avenue in the City of Warwick. Mendoza was transported to the State Police – Wickford Barracks where he was processed and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Service Center.
No contact violation On Sept. 24, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Richard DiPanni, 59, of 275 West Natick Road, Warwick, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant from the Cranston Police Department for the following: 1) Violation of No Contact Order; and 2) Violation of No Contact Order, third offense. DiPanni was taken into custody without incident and turned over to members of the Cranston Police Department on scene.
Quaker Lane Crash, Reckless Driving Arrest At 2:19 Sept. 26, troopers arrested Zachary Greene, 24, of 160 Pinehurst Ave., Warwick for 1.) Reckless Driving. This arrest was the result of Troopers responding to a motor vehicle accident on Quaker Lane in the City of Warwick.
Greene was transported to the State Police – Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with a future Third District Court date.
