COVENTRY, RI — Coventry arrests and other Kent County arrests in the RI Trooper Log  April 19 – 27 involved charges for DUI, counterfeit license plates, and Oxycodone possession.

Here are the basics on those RI State Police Coventry arrests and other Kent County arrests:

Kent County & Coventry Arrests

Hopkins Hill Crash, DUI Arrest On Monday, April 21, at 6:51 p.m., troopers arrested Adan De la Cruz, 23, of 48 Pinoak Drive, Exeter, Rhode Island for 1.) DUI – BAC Unknown – 1st Offense and 2.) Refusal to Submit to Chemical Test – 1st Offense.

The arrest was the result of troopers responding to a motor vehicle accident on Hopkins Hill Road in the Town of West Greenwich. Mr. De La Cruz was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and later misdemeanor released with a future Third Division District Court Date.

Coventry charged with counterfeiting plates On Tuesday, April 22 at 1:54 p.m., troopers arrested Jason M. Silveira, 44, of 100 Wisteria Drive, Coventry, Rhode Island for 1.) Forgery and Counterfeiting of Registration Plates.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Bald Hill Road in the City of Warwick. Mr. Silveira was transported to the State Police – Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with a future Third Division District Court date.

WG Stop, Oxycodone Arrest At 12:30 a.m. April 27, troopers arrested Norman Potvin, 68, for Possession of a Schedule I-V 10 Grams or Less (Oxycodone).

The arrest was the result of a traffic stop on Rte. 95 North in  West Greenwich. Potvin was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with a future Third Division District Court date.
