COVENTRY, RI —Coventry arrests and Kent County arrests in the RI Trooper Log  March 20 – 27 involved charges for heroin possession, DUI and violating a non-contact order.

Here are the basics on those RI State Police Coventry arrests and Kent County arrests:

Kent County, Coventry Arrests March 20 – 27

No Contact Violation At 9:06 p.m. March 23, troopers arrested Joseph R. Warner, 43, of 65 Deerfield Drive, Sterling, Connecticut for 1.) Domestic Violation of a No Contact Order – First Offense. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Nooseneck Hill Road, in the Town of Coventry.

Warner was transported to the State Police – Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released with a future Third Division District Court date.

Heroin Possession Charge On Tuesday March 24, at 1:53 p.m., troopers, arrested Edward Barrios, 52, of 5 Greenwood Ave., Coventry, Rhode Island for Possession of a Schedule I/V Controlled Substance – Under 10 grams (Heroin). This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Wakefield Street, in the Town of West Warwick.

Barrios was processed at the Hope Valley Barracks, arraigned by the Justice of The Peace, and released with a future Third Division District Court arraignment date.

Reckless Driving Charge On Thursday, March 27, at 11:07 p.m., troopers arrested Ryan Mackinnon, 37, of 76 Scenic Drive, West Warwick, Rhode Island, for Reckless Driving.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Oak Dell Circle in East Greenwich. Subject was transported to State Police – Hope Valley Barracks, where he was processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released with a future Third Division District Court date.

EG Stop, DUI Charge On Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 3:07 a.m., troopers arrested William Mota, 39, of 235 High Road, Palm Bay, Florida for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor – B.A.C. .08 -.10 – First Offense (Phase I: .103% and Phase II: .098%). The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on New London Turnpike, in the Town of East Greenwich.

Mota was transported to the State Police – Hope Valley Barracks, where he was processed, arraigned by Justice of the Peace, and released with a notice to appear in Third Division District Court.

WW Stop, DUI Charge On Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 2:12 a.m., troopers arrested Sandra Carpenter, 56, of 30 Potter Ave., West Warwick, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor – B.A.C. Unknown – First Offense and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – First Offense.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Church Street, in the Town of West Warwick. The subject was transported to the State Police – Hope Valley Barracks, where she was processed, arraigned by Justice of the Peace, and released with a notice to appear in Third Division District Court.
