

COVENTRY, RI —Coventry arrests and Kent County arrests in the RI Trooper Log Jan. 3 – 10 involved charges for larceny, crack possession, carrying an unlicensed pistol and receiving stolen goods.

Coventry Arrests Jan 3 – 9:
Unlicensed pistol, stolen goods On Sunday, Jan. 4, at 2:31 a.m.., trooper coventry arrests included Victor Encarnacion, 38, of 404 Bridge St. Apartment 322, Groton, Connecticut, for 1.) License or Permit Required for Carrying a Pistol; 2.) Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons Prohibited; 3.) Possession of a Stolen Firearm; 4.) Eluding Law Enforcement – High-Speed Pursuit – First Offense; 5.) Reckless Driving and Other Offenses Against Public Safety – First Offense; 6) Duty to Stop in Accident Resulting in Damage to Attended Vehicle; and 7.) Receiving Stolen Goods – Under $1,500.
The arrest was the result of motor vehicle pursuit and subsequent apprehension on Route 95 in the Town of West Greenwich. The subject was transported to the State Police – Hope Valley Barracks, where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and later turned over to the Providence Police Department.
Stolen firearm, Reckless Driving, Stolen Goods On Sunday, Jan. 4, 2026 at 2:31 a.m.. troopers arrested Victor Encarnacion, 38, of 404 Bridge St., Apt. 322, Groton, Connecticut, for 1.) Encarnacion was transported to the State Police – Hope Valley Barracks, where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and later turned over to the Providence Police Department.
Crack possession On Monday, Jan. 5, 2026 at 1:07 a.m., troopers arrested Jessica C. Dionne, 33, of 10 Yates Ave., Coventry, for Possession of Schedule I-V Controlled Substance- 10 grams or less (Crack Cocaine). The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Curson Street, in the Town of West Warwick.
Dionne was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where she was held overnight pending morning arraignment at Third District court as a 46(g) Bail Violator.
Wanted for Shoplifting At 1:44 a.m. Jan. 5, troopers arrested Alexander Cabrera, 30, of 8 Division St., Manville, Rhode Island for a Kent County Superior Court Full Bench Warrant for a 32F Technical Violation on the original charge of Shoplifting – 2nd Offense originating out of the Coventry Police Department.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Delaine Street in Providence. Cabrera was transported to State Police Headquarters where he was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Center.
Wanted for Eluding, high speed chase On Saturday, Jan. 9, 2026, at 11:15 a.m., troopers arrested Mi Cha Silvia, 42, of 20 Baker St., West Warwick, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for 1.) Eluding Law Enforcement, Vehicle in a High-Speed Pursuit – First Offense, and 2.) Obstructing an Officer in Execution of Duty.
The arrest was the result of a Barracks investigation and Silvia subsequently being located at her residence. Silvia was processed at the State Police Hope Valley Barracks and transported to Third Division District Court for arraignment.
