WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log Warwick arrests  March 13 – 23 involved charges for larceny, domestic violence, DUI, and forgery. Here are the basics on those RI State Police arrests:

Traffic stop, larceny charge On March 20, at 1:24 a.m. troopers arrested Aaron Pellicano, 24, of 522 Providence St. West Warwick, RI,  for a Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Restitution on the original charge of Larceny Over $5,000 and Less Than $10,000 originating out of the West Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Elmwood Avenue in Providence. Pellicano was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and transported to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Center.

No contact violation, domestic violence At 4:28 p.m., troopers arrested Steven Dimezza, 36, of 87 Crescent Street, Providence, Rhode Island for 1.) Violation of a No Contact Order – Third Offense, 2.) Providence County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pretrial Arraignment Conference on the original charge of Domestic Violence – Criminal Violation originating out of the Providence Police Department, 3.) Providence County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pretrial Arraignment Conference on the original charge of Obstruction of the Judicial System originating out of the Providence Police Department, 4.) Sixth Division District Court Bench Warrant for $10,000 with Surety Failure to Appear for Technical Violation on the original charge of Domestic Violence – Simple Assault originating out of the Providence Police Department, 5.) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Shoplifting and Conspiracy out of the Lincoln Police Department. 

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Metro Center Boulevard, in the City of Warwick. Dimezza was processed at the Wickford Barracks, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and later turned over to the ACI – Men’s Intake Center.

Traffic stop, shoplifting charge At 9:20 p.m. March 21, troopers arrested Michael Bartis, 45, of 100 Whipple Ave., Warwick, Rhode Island, on a Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Restitution on the original charge of Shoplifting Greater than $100 – Second Offense, originating out of the North Smithfield Police Department. 

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Branch Avenue in the City of Providence. Bartis was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Center.

At 11:53PM, Troopers arrested Nicholas Coppola, age 24 of 62 Roundway Drive, Coventry, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor/Drugs-BAC Unknown, 2.) Refusal to Submit to Chemical Test. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Centerville Road in the City of Warwick. Coppola was transported to the barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and later released into the custody of a responsible adult.

Rte. 95 stop, DUI ​​At 11:53 p.m. March 22, troopers arrested Nicholas Coppola, 24 of 62 Roundway Drive, Coventry, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor/Drugs-BAC Unknown, 2.) Refusal to Submit to Chemical Test. 

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Centerville Road in the City of Warwick. Coppola was transported to the barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and later released into the custody of a responsible adult.

Traffic stop, forgery charge At 12:10 p.m. March 22, troopers arrested Peter Descosta, 51, of, 20 Summit Ave.,, West Warwick, RI, for 1. Forgery or Counterfeit of Registration Plates 2. Obstruction of a Police Officer, and 3. Operating on a Suspended License 4th Subsequent Offense. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Concord Street in the City of Pawtucket. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and transported to the Adult Correctional Institution where he will be held as Bail Violator.

Rte. 95 stop, DUI charge At 12:28 a.m.March 23, troopers arrested Jeremy Laury, 47, of 2053 Tower Hill Road, Saunderstown, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor/Drugs-BAC Unknown, 2.) Refusal to Submit to Chemical Test. 

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the City of Warwick. Laury was transported to the barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and later released into the custody of a responsible adult.
