
WARWICK, RI — Warwick arrests in the RI Trooper Log May 1 – 14 involved charges for DUI, reckless driving and a man wanted in MA for home invasion, burglary and kidnapping.

Johnston stop, DUI arrest At 9:10 p.m. May 3, troopers arrested Kayleigh Lagasse, 37, of 137 Drum Rock Ave., Warwick, Rhode Island, for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – B.A.C. .15 or Greater – First Offense. (Phase I: .200; Phase II: .192)
The arrest resulted from calls for an erratic operator and a subsequent motor vehicle stop on Plainfield Pike in the Town of Johnston. The subject was transported to Rhode Island State Police Headquarters, where she was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released to the custody of a responsible adult.
Domestic no-contact order violation On May 8, 2024, members of the ACI Investigations Unit charged Zachary Johnson, age 31, of last known address 27 Hamilton Avenue, Warwick, Rhode Island, for Domestic-Violation No Contact Order.
The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the ACI Investigations Unit and ACI Special Investigations Unit. Johnson was arraigned at Third District Court and released into the custody of the Sheriff’s Department.
Wanted in MA for Home invasion, robbery, burglary, kidnapping On May 10, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force, the Massachusetts State Police (VFAS), the Worcester Police Department and Uniform members of the Lincoln Woods Barracks arrested Juan Hernandez-Cruz, age 28, of 20 Arthur St., Warwick, Rhode Island, as a Fugitive from Justice out of the State of Massachusetts on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant drafted by the Worcester Police Department for the following charges: 1) Home Invasion; 2) Armed and Masked Robbery; 3) Kidnapping; 4) Armed Burglary; 5) Assault; 6) Larceny from a Building; and 7) Destruction of Property. The arrest was the result of an investigation by the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force.
Hernandez-Cruz was taken into custody without incident, processed at the Wickford Barracks and then turned over to Third Division District Court officials for arraignment as a Fugitive from Justice.
Rte. 95 stop, reckless driving At 1:30 p.m. May 13, troopers arrested Antonio Barnes, 51, of 159 Bridgham St., Apt. #A8, Providence, Rhode Island for Reckless Driving—1st Offense.
The arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in the City of Warwick. Barnes was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released with a future Third District Court date.
