
WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests July 21 – July 24 in and concerning Warwick involved charges for DUI, child porn possession, reckless driving and possession of a stolen firearm.
Here are the details of those RI Trooper Log arrests:
Rte. 95 stop, DUI arrest At 8:09 p.m. July 21, troopers of the Traffic Safety Unit arrested Michael Underwood, 22, of 6 Adrian St., Warwick RI for Driving Under the Influence of Drugs-Blood Results Pending.
The arrest the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 295 in Cranston. Underwood was transported to Rhode Island Hospital where he consented to a blood test. After, he was transported to State Police Headquarters where he was processed and specially arraigned before a Justice of the Peace. He was later turned over to the custody of a responsible adult.
Rte. 95 stop, reckless driving arrest At 10:07 p.m., troopers in the Traffic Safety Unit arrested Alexander Young, 29, of 327 Dexter St., Providence, RI for Reckless Driving.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95, in Warwick. Young was transported to the Scituate Barracks where he was processed and held overnight where he will be presented as a probation violator in Third Division District Court.
Stolen firearm charge On July 22, members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Brennan J. Starnino, age 25, of 181 Cottage St., 3rd Floor, Warwick, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant drafted by the Coventry Police Department for Larceny of a Firearm
Starnino was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and later turned over to members of the Coventry Police Department.
Marijuana dealing, meth possession charges On July 23, members of the HIDTA and Violent Fugitive Task Forces arrested Thomas Moulton, 32, of 145 Crane Street, Warwick, Rhode Island, for: 1) Possession With the Intent to Deliver a Schedule I Controlled Substance – Marijuana; 2) Possession With the Intent to Deliver Marijuana In Excess of 5 Kilograms; 3) Manufacturing a Schedule I Controlled Substance – Marijuana Butane Hash Oil; 4) Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance – Crystal Methamphetamine; and 5) Possession of a Firearm While Committing a Controlled Substance Violation (7 counts).
Moulton was processed at the Lincoln Barracks, then arraigned in Kent County District Court, where he was held without bail.
Child porn possession arrest On July 24, members of the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Jonathan Nakielny, 45, of 714 Manomet Ct., Warwick, Rhode Island, for Possession of Child Pornography.
Nakielny was arraigned in Kent County District Court, where he was held on $10,000.00 surety bail.
