RI Trooper Log: Arrests on Burglary, Check Fraud, Domestic Assault Warrants

Warwick, RI – This week’s Rhode Island State Police activity in and nearby Warwick included arrests of court scofflaws and men wanted on burglary, check fraud and domestic assault charges:

Traffic stop ends in warrant arrest for domestic assault At 12:34 a.m. Aug. 23, troopers arrested Dennis Miller, 40, of 7 Princess Ave., Cranston for 1.) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear/Ability to Pay on the original charge of Domestic Simple Assault out of Warwick PD and 2.) Affidavit/Arrest Warrant for Domestic Simple Assault from the Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 37 West in Cranston. Miller was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing and was later turned over to the Providence Police Department.

Stop in Johnston nabs court scofflaw on larceny charges On Aug. 24, at 1:10 a.m.,  troopers arrested Jason Bruno, 46, of 15 Connecticut St., Cranston, Rhode Island for 1.) 3rd District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Restitution Review on the original charge of Larceny under $1,500 originating out of the Warwick Police Department. 2.) Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Restitution Review on the original charge of Larceny over $1,500 originating out of the Cranston Police Department. 3.) Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Restitution Review on the original charge of Larceny over $1,500 originating out of the Cranston Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Bordon Avenue in the Town of Johnston. Bruno was transported to State Police Headquarters where he was processed and later transported to the ACI Men’s Intake.

Stop collars man wanted on burglary, disorderly, vandalism charges On Thursday Aug. 25, at 12:41 a.m., troopers arrested Nico Puleo, 23, of 109 Summer St., Providence, on an Affidavit/ Arrest Warrant issued by West Warwick Police Department for 1.) Domestic-B&E Dwelling House without consent, 2) Domestic Disorderly Conduct, 3) Vandalism/ Malicious Injury to Property, and 4) Burglary.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 North in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and later turned over to West Warwick Police Department.

WW man arrested on warrant for check fraud On Thursday Aug. 25, at 12:40 p.m., troopers arrested Toni Gabriau, 28, of 39 Andrews Ave., West Warwick, Rhode Island, on a State Police Hope Valley Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Fraudulent Checks Under $1,500.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle on Girard Avenue in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and turned over to Third District Court for arraignment.

Cowesett Road stop ends in arrest for no contact order violation On Thursday August 25, 2016 at 6:15 PM, Troopers arrested Kristian Doney, age 32, of 142 Hamilton Street, West Warwick, Rhode Island for 1.) Violation of a No Contact Order.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Cowesett Road in the Town of West Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released after posting surety bail.
