WARWICK, RI — Warwick arrests in the Warwick RI Trooper Log  Dec.  26 – Jan. 4  involved charges including multiple DUIs, shoplifting and missed court dates.

Warwick Arrests: RI Trooper Log Dec.  26 – Jan. 4

Warwick Rte. 95 stop, DUI charge At 2:22 a.m. Dec.28, troopers arrested Richard Santos Giron,   28, of 14 Hickory Road, Coventry, Rhode Island, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor – BAC Unknown – First Offense and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – First Offense and 3.) Operation of Motor Vehicle on a Suspended License- Fourth Offense.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. The subject was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks where he was processed and held overnight as a probation violator.

Missed court, shoplifting charge On Thursday, Jan. 2 at 9:57 p.m., troopers arrested William Ferrante, 48, of 3723 Capetown Drive, Orlando, Florida for a Third Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pretrial Conference on the original charge of Shoplifting, originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95, in the Town of West Greenwich. Ferrante was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’s Intake Center.

Quaker Lane stop,  DUI charge On Friday, Jan. 3 at 12:38 a.m., troopers arrested John Caruso, 35, of 293 Coomer Hill Road, Dayville, Connecticut for 1) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor – B.A.C. Unknown – First Offense, and 2) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – First Offense.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Quaker Lane, in the City of Warwick. Caruso was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released into the custody of a responsible adult pending a future Third Division District Court Date.

No contact order violation At 10:35 .am. Jan. 2, troopers arrested Alcenio Almonte, 29, of 199 Hanover St., Apt. #3, Providence, RI for Domestic Violence -Violation of a No Contact Order –First Offense. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 North in the City of Warwick. Almonte was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and transported to Third District Court for arraignment.

Wanted for shoplifting warrant At 2 p.m. Jan. 3, troopers arrested Esqulese R. Black, 21, of 754 Manton Ave., Apt. 754, Providence, RI on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for 1.) Shoplifting originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 146 in the City of Providence. Black was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, and turned over to the Warwick Police Department.

Rte. 95 stop, DUI charge At 1:14 a.m. Jan. 4, troopers arrested Erhan Tekin, 30, of 119 Harrishof Street, Dorchester, Massachusetts, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor – BAC Unknown – First Offense and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – First Offense. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the City of Warwick.

Tekin was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks where he was processed and held overnight for morning arraignment.

Rte. 95  stop, suspended license charge At 10:15 a.m. Jan. 4, troopers arrested Jason Thompson, 46, of 849 Jefferson Boulevard Warwick, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving with Suspended License-Certain Violations-1st Offense.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in the City of Warwick. Thompson was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed, arraigned before a Justice of the Peace, and released with a future Third Division District Court date.
