COVENTRY, RI — Coventry arrests and other Kent County arrests in the RI Trooper Log  March 14 – 28 involved charges for DUI, insurance fraud, cocaine possession and violation of a no-contact order.

Here are the basics on those RI State Police Coventry RI Trooper Log arrests and other Kent County arrests:

Kent County & Coventry arrests:

No contact order violation, domestic violence On Monday, March 24 at 10:30 p.m., troopers arrested Moises J. Ramirez, 28, of 35 Lafayette Street, Worcester, Massachusetts for 1) Domestic Violence – Violation of a No Contact Order – Second Offense. The arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the Town of West Warwick. Ramirez was transported to the State Police – Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment at Third Division District Court where he will be presented as a probation and bail violator.

Insurance fraud, forgery, impersonating official On March 25, members of the Auto Theft Unit, the ACI Investigations Unit, and the Intelligence Unit arrested Edward Delgreco, 44, of 98 Bates Ave., Coventry, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Insurance Fraud; 2) Forgery and Counterfeiting in General; and 3) Impersonation of Public Official. Mr. Delgreco was arraigned in Third Division Court, where he was issued $5,000 surety bail and presented as a Superior Court violator.

DUI, EG Stop At 1:57 a.m. March 27, troopers arrested Glenny Tejada Castro, 39, of 200 Manville Hill Road, Cumberland, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor/ Drugs 1st Offense- B.A.C. Unknown, and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test. The arrest took place as a result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 4 in the Town of East Greenwich. Tejada Castro was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks where she was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released to the custody of a responsible adult

Cocaine possession, WG stop At 12:39 a.m., troopers arrested Michael Burns, 34, of 637 Hazard Road, West Greenwich, Rhode Island for Possession of a Schedule I-V Controlled Substance – 10 Grams or Less (Cocaine). This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 102, in the Town of West Greenwich. Burns was transported to the State Police – Hope Valley Barracks, where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released pending a future Third Division District Court date.
